Does Georgia have a gymnastics team?
The Georgia Gymdogs (officially the Georgia Bulldogs) is the women’s gymnastics team of the University of Georgia. The team is part of NCAA Division I and competes in the Southeastern Conference (SEC).
Does UGA have a men’s gymnastics team?
We are UGA’s only co-ed gymnastics team! Guys and girls are welcome, and prior experience isn’t necessary! We compete with the National Association of Intercollegiate Gymnastics Clubs (NAIGC), typically 5 meets per year, including one national championship, although these are all optional.

UGA created its women’s gymnastics program in 1973 and named Melinda Airhart as the first head coach. The team, known as the Gym Dogs, became competitive in 1981 under the direction of coach Rick Walton.
